Sonam Kapoor On Getting SLAMMED For Her ‘Second-Class Citizens’ Comment, ‘They Are Blind-Ignorant, Akin To Nazis’
It looks like Sonam Kapoor is on a mission these days. The Veere Di Wedding actress is out and out hitting back at trolls that are questioning her career, political stance, and other personal opinions. Not very long ago, she expressed her displeasure on Mr. India 2 being without her father Anil Kapoor’s knowledge, as he starred in the original. Now, Sonam is in the news for her recent comments on women empowerment in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia edition.

She was quoted as saying, “For me, female empowerment is very important, especially because I’m from a side of the world where women have always been second-class citizens." This, however, didn’t go down very well with the netizens and they found yet another reason to troll the actress, especially on the second-class citizens' bit. All the replies under Sonam’s tweet were mostly about her getting slammed. Now, Sonam Kapoor has responded to all the criticism through a blunt tweet.

She called it ‘blatant sexism, classism and racism’ and that trollers are blind and ignorant, equal to that of Nazis. “Now that the blatant sexism, classism and racism has started it won’t. They are blind and ignorant. Akin to Nazis,” read Sonam’s response.
